About Verité Southeast Asia (VSEA)

Verité Southeast Asia (VSEA) is a labor rights non-profit organization with a mission to ensure that people worldwide, especially in the region, work under safe, fair and legal conditions.

VSEA is an independent non‐profit organization with regional headquarters in the Philippines. The organization is part of the Verité global network headquartered in Amherst, Massachusetts, USA.

Our Goals

To provide businesses with tools that help to eliminate labor abuses.
To empower workers to advocate for their rights.
To create publicly-shared resources that enlighten and drive action.
To contribute our expertise to government labor and human rights policy.

The VSEA Network

VSEA has been involved in labor rights monitoring, research, advocacy and capacity building in the Southeast Asia region, as well as in neighboring countries (e.g., Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia) for more than two decades. Today, our work covers countries in Asia and the Pacific, and any other countries where workers from Southeast Asia may be deployed. We are a network of more than 100 individuals, technical experts and advocates who contribute to the organization’s goal of improving the lives of workers in plantations, factories, farms, and fishing vessels in the region and beyond.
